Utility that enables users on a local network to share the content of a screen viewable on a web browser.

Screen Task is a free and open source screen sharing and remote desktop application developed by EslaMxSoft for Windows. It's light on system resources, easy-to-use, modern and straightforward.

The download has been tested by an editor here on a PC and a list of features has been compiled; see below. We've also created some screenshots of Screen Task to illustrate the user interface and show the overall usage and features of this screen sharing program.

Easy and simple way to remotely share the screen on multiple devices

Screen Task is a simple utility that allows you to share your screen with others over the same network.

Screen Task is screen sharing made easy. Share your screen across local devices without internet. Connecting to a shared desktop is just as fast and easy and it doesn't require a separate ScreenTask installation.

If you want to further improve file security, you can do so easily by assigning a username and password to the unique URL. To enable this, click the Private Task link and enter your desired username and password. Once you have entered the username and password, click the Start Server button to initiate screen-sharing.

Compatibility and License

Screen Task is a free application released under the GPLv3 license on Windows from remote desktop software. With software released under the open source GPLv3 license, anybody can download, install, run and distribute the software with little in terms of restrictions. The latest version we have is 1.2 and is available to download here.

What version of Windows can Screen Task run on?

Screen Task can be used on a computer running Windows 11 or Windows 10. Previous versions of the OS shouldn't be a problem with Windows 8 and Windows 7 having been tested. It comes in both 32-bit and 64-bit downloads.
